Trézór Suite (Official)

Trézór Suite is the official desktop and web application for managing Trezor hardware wallets. Suite provides secure wallet management, portfolio tracking, built‑in exchange services, privacy controls, and advanced features while keeping your private keys on the device.

What is Trézór Suite?

Trézór Suite is a modern, user‑first application that replaces legacy wallet interfaces and unifies all interactions with your Trezor hardware device. Available as a native desktop client for Windows, macOS and Linux and as a web experience, Suite offers an intuitive interface for both beginners and advanced users who require granular control of transactions, account management and privacy settings.

Core features

Secure transaction signing

All transaction signing occurs on your physical Trezor device. Suite prepares the transaction and the device displays the details — only after you confirm on‑device will the transaction be signed and broadcast.

Comprehensive asset support

Manage Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC‑20 tokens, and many other cryptocurrencies. Suite continuously adds support for new coins and token standards to keep pace with the ecosystem.

Portfolio & analytics

Track balances across accounts, view historical performance, export transaction histories, and get real‑time price updates from trusted feeds.

Integrated exchange & buy services

Use in‑app partners to buy, sell, or swap crypto while retaining custody of private keys on your Trezor device. Exchange partners are surfaced in the app — you choose the provider and review all details before confirming.

Privacy tools

Suite includes Tor support for routing traffic, coin control features, and address reuse warnings to help preserve privacy and reduce linkability between transactions.

Backup & recovery

Suite guides you through device initialization, seed backup, and recovery workflows. It supports advanced options such as passphrases and Shamir backups where applicable.

Getting started

  1. Download Suite: Get the desktop installer from trezor.io or open the web app in a supported browser.
  2. Connect your Trezor: Plug in your device and unlock it with your PIN.
  3. Follow onboarding: Suite will walk you through firmware updates, seed creation, or restoration from an existing recovery seed.
  4. Add accounts: Choose which coin accounts to track and add them to Suite — balances will synchronize automatically.
  5. Transact securely: Generate receive addresses inside Suite, verify them on‑device, and sign outgoing transactions directly on the Trezor.
Quick tip: When creating a new seed, write it down on the supplied recovery card and consider a durable metal backup. Never store your recovery phrase digitally or share it with anyone.

Advanced features

Coin control & fee customization

For Bitcoin users and other UTXO‑based chains, Suite provides coin control, letting you select specific inputs to spend. You can also set custom fees to prioritize speed or save on costs depending on network conditions.

Passphrase & hidden wallets

Passphrases act as an additional secret that creates hidden wallets derived from the same seed. Use them only if you understand the risk: a forgotten passphrase is permanent and makes the funds inaccessible.

Shamir Backup & multi‑device security

Some Trezor models and firmware support Shamir Backup (SLIP‑0039), allowing your seed to be split into multiple parts for redundancy and security. Suite supports setting up and restoring from such backups when available.

Security best practices

  • Download Suite only from the official Trezor website and verify signatures if you perform advanced integrity checks.
  • Always verify receiving addresses and transaction details on your device display before confirming.
  • Keep your recovery seed offline and split across secure locations — consider metal backups to withstand physical hazards.
  • Do not enter your seed or private keys into any website or app. Official recovery flows are performed on the device itself.
  • Use Tor mode if anonymity is a priority, and avoid address reuse to reduce chain analysis risks.
Security warning: Trezor support will never ask for your recovery seed, PIN, or passphrase. If you are ever asked to provide them, treat the request as fraudulent and disconnect immediately.

Troubleshooting

Device not recognized

Try a different USB cable or port. On web, ensure Trezor Bridge (if required) is installed and your browser is up to date. Restart Suite and reconnect the device.

Firmware update issues

Follow on‑screen instructions carefully. If an update fails, do not unplug the device until the process completes. Contact official support if you encounter persistent problems.

Transaction errors

Check network status and fee levels for the chosen blockchain. For failed UTXO transactions, verify inputs and consider re‑broadcasting with adjusted fees.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Suite without a Trezor device? Suite requires a Trezor device for the full security model. Some read‑only features may display public data, but signing and seed management need the hardware wallet.

Is Suite open source? Yes — Trezor publishes much of its codebase and firmware under open‑source licenses. Consult the official repositories for details and contribution guidelines.

What if I lose my device? Restore your wallet on a new Trezor or compatible wallet using your recovery seed. Without the seed, funds are irretrievable.

Support & resources

Visit the official Trezor Support Center for step‑by‑step guides, firmware release notes, security advisories, and community resources. If you suspect your seed or passphrase has been exposed, move funds to a new seed immediately and follow official incident guidance.
